Madan Mohan Malaviya
The founder of Benaras Hindu University was an important personality of indian freedom struggle and a champion of cause of education. He spent is boyhood in utter poverty. By his scholarship, pure life and selflessness he won such respect that he collected more than thirteen million rupees for the university.

Bal Gangadhar Tilak
Bal Gangadhar Tilak "The Father of Indian Unrest " was a Great journalist- editor, an authority on Vedas, Sanskrit Scholar, mathematician and a natural leader of India.His slogan, "Swaraj (Self Rule) is my birthright", inspired millions of Indians. His book "Geetarahasya"a classic treatise on Geeta in Marathi was written by him, in prison at Mandalay.

Swami Dayanand Sarswati
Swami Dayanand was the founder of the Hindu reform organization Arya Samaj, which he established on April 7th 1875, in Bombay India. He also created the 10 principles of Arya Samaj. Throughout his life, Swami Dayanand preached against many Hindu traditions which he felt were dogmatic and oppressive.

Mahadev Govind Ranade
Mahadev Govind Ranade was a prominent leader of the Indian National Congress. Besides being a great politician, he made tremendous contribution in the field of social work, women’s education and religious reform. In Maharashtra he started various social movements for the uplift of the people.

Keshav Chandra Sen

Bankim Chandra Chatterjee
One of the greatest novelists of India who gave the poeple the scared mantra - Vande Mataram` .His famous novel is `Anandamatha`. This novel contains a thrilling account of a struggle for freedom. Vande Mataram` appears as a part of this novel.

Raja Rammohan Roy
Raja Rammohan Roy known as the ` Maker of Modern India`was a pioneer of indian renaissance. With out giving up what was good and noble in the past he laid the foundations for a great future. He was a great scholar and a independent thinker.

Ramakrushna Paramhansa
He is the greatest scientist in the field of spirituality. One may call him a sage or a mystic of modern age, a Man of God, God- incarnate, etc. Sri Ramakrishna was the most `rational mystic`. With scientific precision he put forward in most simple terms, as parables and stories, the eternal truth regarding God and God realization.

Dadabhai Naoroji
The Grand Old Man of India Dadabhai is known as the architect that laid the foundation of the Indian freedom struggle.He was key to the establishment of the Indian National Congress (I.N.C.) founded by A.O. Hume. More importantly he averted a split in the Congress between the extremists like B.G. Tilak, B.C. Pal, and A. Ghosh and the moderates.
